Still Worth It!

I have spoken with several people over the course of the past year that just don't see the value in networking. Many believe that networking is a waste of time or that there is no real fruit that comes from it. I have had a completely different experience.

I once went to a networking event. It was sort of like speed dating. What was interesting is that from the moment I read about this event, I felt like I needed to go. When I showed up, however, I was the first one to arrive, the event started late, and there were only about three or four people that showed up in addition to myself. You might think, "what a colossal waste of time!" but there was something gained from this seemingly uneventful event.

I met a gentleman there that has been such a blessing to me and my clients. In the course of the year, he has connected me to people that were able to help further my business. He has also helped my clients get to places of financial freedom and set themselves up for success financially, which has helped in reaching their business objectives. What a return on investment that one seemingly insignificant event has produced.

Networking is still a very necessary part of doing business! I believe that God is sort of like an architect. All the details of your life have been arranged in a way to get you to a specified place at a specified moment in time in order for you to accomplish what you were created for. You just have to pay attention to be able to know when and where he is leading you to go, who he is connecting you with, and what he is saying to get you to that expected end. You never know where your next opportunity will come from.
