Fail BIG!

I was listening to a motivational speech compilation given by Denzel Washington and got a little teary-eyed. One of the many important things he said was "Fail BIG". What a concept.

When I was growing up I learned that failure was not an option for me. What that ultimately did was ruin my self esteem. I was soooo hard on myself that reaching anything short of my goals depressed me and made me feel like I was a failure. Any mistake, any unachieved goal, any unattained effort only fueled what I had erroneously been taught.

As a business owner, you have to know that you are not always going to get it right the first time. You have to give yourself room to make mistakes and even to fail, without giving up. One of the most inspiring leaders of our time failed many times before he finally figured out how to make his invention work right. Today, we have light because he did not quit (Benjamin Franklin). You could say that he "cut the light on" for us

in more ways than one. 😂 For some of us, the challenges and opposition to birthing the vision inside of you will be great. (Sorry! 🤷🏾‍♀️). But what is produced will be even greater!

It is not possible to go through life without making mistakes. Failure is a big part of growing. The key is to learn from your mistakes. It is my opinion that mistakes teach you far more than success ever can. When you fail, "fail big", but don't let it be for nothing!
